FAQs

As part of our ongoing commitment to excellent customer services, we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions with their accompanying answers. If you’re looking for additional information - get in touch today.

  • What is your return policy?
All products are strictly non-refundable. Please make sure the sizing is correct before purchasing. If you're unsure of your correct sizing, please refer to the size guide or reach out to Moose. The reason we cannot take returns on jewellery or aftercare is because we cannot resell it. Once you try on your jewellery and realise it doesn't fit correctly, it is already contaminated and possibly has biofilm and other bacteria on it. To keep good quality control, we do not allow refunds, returns or exchanges for this reason.
  • Do you offer gift cards?
We sure do! These can be online gift cards or physical gift cards. Please reach out to Moose to purchase one of these.
  • What ID do you take for appointments?
We require very specific ID for our appointments. All clients must bring valid, in-date, government photo ID to appointments. Examples of this would include a Driver's License, a Proof of Age card, a Working with Children's Check, or a Passport. If you are a parent accompanying your child to their appointment, I require the ID stated above from yourself, a valid in-date Medicare card displaying both your name and your child's name on the same card, and a valid, in-date photo ID of your child. Examples of this would be a passport or Learner's permit. I do not accept birth certificates, school IDs, smart riders, or library cards. This is studio policy. Identification is not something I am lenient on, as the safety of the child/client is my first and foremost concern. If you cannot provide the ID above, please do not book an appointment until you can provide the necessary ID. Booking your appointment and coming to your appointment without the provided ID will result in you forfeiting your deposit, as stated in our cancellation policy.
  • When booking in with you for a piercing service, is jewellery included in price?
When you pay your deposit online to hold your appointment, you are just paying for the service. This is because each individual piece of jewellery is priced separately. Jewellery starts at $40 for the most basic piece of implant-grade titanium, and $105 for 18kt gold. To inquire about pricing, it's best to book a 'jewellery purchasing appointment', as I stock hundreds of pieces, all of which come in many different shapes and sizes. I believe seeing photos online of pieces of jewellery can be quite misleading, as pieces that look HUGE in photos, are infact tiny. For example, the bee in the photo above measures at 7mm at its widest point.
  • Why do you not offer certain piercings and services?
If you can't find the service you're after on my booking link, there's a good chance I don't offer that service - and there's a good reason for that! There are some piercings and services I do not feel comfortable offering until I feel I have perfected that service. I am not willing to risk the health of my client with services I am unsure of. This includes genital piercings, dermals and septum piercings. Once I am able to have more professional training in those specific services, they will be up for grabs, but until then, thank you for respecting my learning journey!
  • Do you take walk in appointments or do I have to make a booking?
You do have to make an appointment to see me! Having a booked appointment allows me to spend our dedicated time together solely on you and your service without disruptions from other staff, clients or distractions. You do also need to book an appointment to just purchase jewellery or aftercare. Often times you do need to be sized correctly when purchasing jewellery as it is rare that clients know their exact size, and no, there is no such thing as a 'standard size'. Sizing up jewellery can take a little time, especially when you want to purchase multiple pieces. The appointment slot allows me time to do that and the deposit you pay to hold that time is deducted off the price of jewellery.
  • How do I reschedule/cancel my appointment? And what is your refund/cancellation policy?
You can reschedule your appointment through the same booking link you used to sign in! If you log on, you will be able to reschedule your current booked appointment without paying for a new deposit. If you do pay a new deposit, your previous deposit paid will become a credit on your account and can be redeemed on jewellery and aftercare at your appointment. You can also cancel your appointment through the same booking link! Please be aware, refunds are not automatic so please message Moose if you have not received your refund within three days of cancelling.
  • Cancellation policy
Here at Moose Body Piercing, we understand that life happens, however, we have a strict cancellation/no show/ late policy. We require 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. In case of a cancellation within the 48-hour time frame, your non-refundable booking deposit will be forfeit and will act as your cancellation fee. If you test positive for Covid 48 hours before your appointment, please provide Moose with a photo of your positive PCR result or positive RAT test next to photo ID and the time to have your cancellation fee waived. Moose Body Piercing runs by appointment only, which means we have to keep to a strict schedule to allow for each client to have their full appointment time without being rushed, distracted or interrupted. If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, you will have your appointment cancelled, your deposit will be forfeited and you will have to make a new appointment with a new deposit at a later date.
